Grappa Cavallina Bianca Blend 18 – 1.5l Magnum
Origin and Production
The Cavallina Bianca Blend 18 is a premium grappa from Zanin 1895, a traditional distillery in Zugliano (Veneto) known for high-quality distillates. Blend 18 is based on selected pomace from white and red grape varieties from Veneto and is distilled and refined according to ancient distillation traditions.
Product Description
This grappa captivates with its dark golden to amber appearance, with fine reddish reflections – a result of its double wood aging. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe cherries, vanilla, honey, almond, cinnamon, and subtle roasted notes unfold. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with a harmonious balance between fruit, wood, and spices. The finish is long, warm, and slightly sweet, with notes of chocolate and dried fruit.
Production and Aging
Distillation takes place in traditional copper pot stills using a discontinuous process, which is particularly gentle on the aromas. The grappa then ages for 12 months in French oak barriques and an additional 6 months in cherry wood barrels – a rare combination that gives it its extraordinary depth and aromatic complexity.
Serving Recommendation
Perfect as a digestif after a fine dinner, served at approximately 18 °C. Excellent in combination with dark chocolate, figs, or mild cigars. The 5 l Distilleria Edition is ideal for bars, restaurants, or special occasions.
