Custoza Antica Corte

Origin

Antica Corte's Custoza is a white wine with DOC designation. It comes from the hills on the southern shore of Lake Garda, where the grapes of the Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbianello, Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco varieties grow. The winemaking process begins with a cold, pellicular maceration and a gentle pressing. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 16°C and 19°C.

Description

The Custoza has a straw-yellow color and is dry in taste. It has a good structure and a refreshing acidity. On the palate, pleasant floral and fruity notes come to the fore, accompanied by a subtle hint of chlorophyll on the finish. The alcohol content is 12% and the ideal serving temperature is 10-12°C.

Overall, the Custoza from Antica Corte is an elegant and balanced white wine, well-suited as an aperitif or in combination with light appetizers and fish dishes. Please note that there has been a change to the label, but the wine itself remains unchanged.

The taste

Fruity, floral and fresh.

Rating from our sommelier

Antica Corte's Custoza captures the essence of Lake Garda in its charming straw yellow color and surprises with a symphony of fruity and floral notes. As someone who has the privilege of tasting a wide variety of wines, I find this wine to be a wonderfully fresh and lively choice that suits any occasion.

At first sip, Custoza enchants with its refreshing acidity, well balanced and supported by its dry nature. The floral and fruity aromas so typical of the grape varieties used, such as Garganega and Trebbiano, unfold on the palate with a lightness that both impresses and delights. These aromas are accompanied by a subtle chlorophyll note on the finish, which offers a pleasant and unexpected twist.

With an alcohol content of 12% and a recommended serving temperature of 10-12°C, this white wine is ideal as an aperitif or to accompany light starters and fish dishes. It brings a certain elegance that will certainly enrich any table.

I would give this wine a score of 97 points. It shows good structure and an appealing complexity that sets it apart from many others in this category. A real treat for anyone who appreciates the subtle nuances of a well-made Custoza.
